Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how GRAVEL LLC ("GRAVEL," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use drinkgravel.com (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
- Information you give us: your email address when you reserve a founding number, and optionally your trade. If you place a deposit, we receive a record of the transaction (amount, date, and a payment reference) but not your full card number.
- Information collected automatically: standard technical and usage data such as device type, browser, pages viewed, and referring source, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Tracking below).
2. How we use your information
- To reserve and manage your founding number and, if applicable, your deposit.
- To email you about your reservation, founding pricing, product updates, and launch.
- To process refunds and apply your deposit toward a future order.
- To understand how the Site is used and improve our marketing and product.
- To keep accurate business records and comply with law.
3. Tracking technologies
We use cookies and pixels from the following providers to measure traffic and marketing performance:
- Google Analytics (GA4) — website analytics.
- Meta Pixel — advertising measurement for Facebook and Instagram.
- Klaviyo — email list management and messaging.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works.
4. Payment processing
When you place a refundable founding deposit, your payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. We share the information necessary to complete and support that transaction (such as your email address and the deposit amount) with Stripe. Stripe handles your card information directly under its own privacy policy; GRAVEL does not receive or store your full card number. We retain a record of your deposit (email, amount, date, and a transaction reference) to manage refunds, apply your deposit to a future order, and keep accurate records.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate — such as our email platform (Klaviyo), payment processor (Stripe), analytics providers (Google, Meta), and hosting (Netlify) — and only as needed to provide the Site and services, or when required by law.
6. Email and opt-out
By reserving a founding number you agree to receive emails from us about GRAVEL. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by emailing michael@drinkgravel.com.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to opt out of certain uses. California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know what we collect, to request deletion, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, email michael@drinkgravel.com and we will respond as required by law.
8. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the Site and services, manage your reservation or deposit, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You can ask us to delete your information as described above.
9. Children
The Site is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, and payment data is handled by Stripe under its security standards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy by posting a revised version on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept them.
